ICM is trying to make the internet’s first red light district. It will happen after the suffix xxx has been approved. Today is the beginning of the process of registering xxx domain. This is marking the closing stages of a ten year battle of ICM Registry with Suart Lawley, a British internet entrepreneur. It took them ten years to set up the xxx domain. The .xxx domain will be set up so that legal pornography sites can be found in a single group. Many pornography companies are not happy with the set up. They think that all the sex related sites have to re-register and it will remove them from other domains and it will be easier to filter them out and it will be harder to find them.
I think it is a great Idea to put them together. I think I don’t see any problems. Why shouldn’t be a red light district. It is easier to check up on them, because their all together now. I think the pornography companies are complaining for nothing. If someone wants to find porn they will. The .xxx domain is suitable and it is easy. All the porno buffs will know where to find them. If they really want to.
Overall a good and clear summary. Your opinion about this is very clear, but there is a sentence: Why shouldn’t be a red light district. Which should be: Why shouldn’t there be a red light district.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI agree with your opinion, because I do not see any harm in it. There are a lot of pornography sites out there, so why not make an easy database of it, so that it is easier to find what you are looking for. This does not mean that other pornography sited will not be out there, if people want to find it they will even if it is not mentioned in a database.
